SYNOPSIS
TPOBT (The Princess of Broken Teeth) is a psychological horror story. Involving, Godfrey Rosen who is an anti social, and isolated man who suffers from PTSD due to getting enlisted into his country's army. He is in his late thirties, and was nearly finished his medical schooling, before he got enlisted. During the war he developed PTSD and his mental health severely declined, causing him to not return to his University but to continue his passion via his cabin in the woods, away from civilization. Since his late twenties, he has been finding subjects to experiment on; starting with insects, rodents, increasing to bigger mammals, all the way until humans. This has resulted in even more tragic casualties, despite this he has dedicated his life to research and experimentation. Godfrey abducted his subjects from parks and nearby areas to take home, but after moving to a remote location deep in the woods; Godfrey has decided to keep four main subjects for continued experimentation and documentation. He had captured four different girls from the orphanage in the nearest town over, whom now live with him.. Greta, Juniper, Agnes, and Odette. The girls underwent heavy physical experimentation throughout their youth and developmental years, along with abuse and neglect which has impacted them as they've gotten older and are now young women. While the frequency and brutality of the experiments have dwindled down, the mental and physical wounds, along with the consequences of Godfrey's actions are still extremely present. Godfrey has started to feel regret, and new thoughts about his own mortality have sprung upon him with age after his declining health has startled him. In the later half of the story he seeks forgiveness from the princesses-- but is it too late, has the damage already been done?
BACKGROUND
The story takes place in the remote woods / forest, the location brings all four seasons but it is generally cooler weather. The forest contains very large trees, with mountains seen in the distance. The forest has local fauna contains deers, moose, bears, wolves, foxes, owls, and more. The living head quarters where the girls and Godfrey live is an average sized wood and log cabin. Is it styled with victorian era furniture, although the state of the home is not in the best conditions. There are a few different rooms within the cabin, and two floors. The lower floor notably has the living room which is often used as the library, kitchen area, Godfrey's work space, and the place where Godfrey sleeps. The upper floor of the cabin is the 'Attic' which houses all four of the princesses, with their 'rooms' being divided by blankets or other furniture items. The story takes place in the same universe as Yuro's Symphony, around 100 years before that story takes place. At the time of TPOBT takes place, Godfrey would have been universally hated if word got out of his actions. However, by the way the world has progressed up until Yuro's Symphony, Godfrey would have become a figure that paved the way. The way the 01 foundation is in control and acting running experiments on innocent people. Godfrey could be seen as a warning sign of what was to come. The collective consciousness and their society worsened over time, and their technology advanced quickly due to the intense motivations. The characters will be growing and trying to understand themselves and their situation in the midst of all the bad things that is happening and has happened to them. Over time they are maturing and slowly realizing how bad the situation is. In the beginning they did not necessarily want to escape, because Godfrey's cabin was all that they knew. As the story progresses, they will start preparing for it.
